IMPROVEMENT OF THE QUALITY OF PRIMARY EDUCATION"Nurturing the future" 
Education is paramount in the task of preventing or diminishing social exclusion. At the same time, the educational realm is one of the best basic socialization means to link up people, families and communities. This Project unfolds in several phases that aim to improve the quality of primary education in the city of Pune (Maharashtra) through the ongoing work of, and interaction among, children, teachers and parents, to foster everyone’s participation in learning processes, and to create a school atmosphere that is conducive to teaching. With this aim in mind, Asha-Kiran launches a series of actions that allow us to offer the necessary resources for children to have access to quality education, and for it to always guarantee gender equality. Asha-Kiran complements its educational Project with health programs that include dental, oral and eye care (both preventive and curative), as well as the promotion of sports activities. These initiatives also aim to raise parents’ and children’s awareness of the importance of ongoing school attendance.
